This part is an improved 15 amino acid 3x GS linker based on Part:BBa_K2653002


Usage and Biology

The most common flexible Linker is the GS combination of G (Gly) glycine and S (Ser) serine, with the most commonly used GS combination of (GGGGS)n. Appropriate flexible linker can be used to enlarge or reduce the distance between domains, realize domain separation and connect domains to study their interaction. This part is an improvement of normal GS linker for it is more flexible with lower GC content, enhancing the structural stability and functionality of proteins that it links.
